I'm a recent viewer of Requiem for a Dream and I'm really moved by this film. It's just so different and mind blowing in many different levels.

Anywho, I've read various opinions and different angles of this movie and of the characters except... I can't quite put my finger on this Arnold fellow.

Ok, so he's suppose to be some therapist, right? but why does she go to a concert with him? then later in the film, has dinner when she needs money? There,s a shot in RFAD where Jennifer Connelly is leaving the pimps flat. she goes down in lift/corridor/stairs , out into rainy street and throws up. Any one know how this shot was achieved? Looks like they strapped a steadicam device to her with camera pointing back. Any ideas?
